Violet Canal

The Violet Canal is another of our areas common refuge sites for vessels in the face of impending foul weather, serving previously as a connection between Lake Borgne and the Mississippi River.

As with all our waterways, you can expect to observe every sort of wildlife from cormorants and cranes to nutria and alligators.
